A scratching target for dogs that takes the worry out of trimming claws with clippers.
The Mani-Pedi dog scratcher is designed for dogs who do not like to trim their claws with clippers. It will also be appreciated by their owners if they are worried about inadvertently injuring their dog with the clippers. The scratcher works on a similar principle to a nail file, motivating the dog to scratch with a treat. There is a handy handle on the scratcher to hold on to, as well as a loop that you can use to uncover the treat under the plate the moment the dog burrows properly and grinds its claws. The sandpaper can be replaced with a new one when worn out, or a different one if a different grit is needed.
The product is sold separately or in a variant with an additional target plate, with the help of which the scratcher can be converted into a target to serve multiple purposes. The target plate has a rubber surface, is easy to lock in place with the 3D printed plastic stop and can be purchased as an option, as well as spare papers.
Care must be taken to ensure that the dog only grinds its claws against the board, not the flat of its paw. The scratching post is not a toy, so do not leave the dog unattended with it, there is a risk of damage to the product and injury to the dog.
